3 Japhiyan Advertising Eid NestleFruitaVitals Press Ramadan Reviews Siblingbond Sip Positive TVC

Nestlé Fruita Vitals – The Sibling Bond

Nestlé Fruita Vitals giving a whole new meaning to 3 japhiyan this Eid. In their latest TVC Nestlé Fruita Vitals touches the right chords for all those who have siblings abroad, who anxiously wait for them on Eid, for the union and celebrations together.

The sibling bond is very beautifully presented in the TVC where the elder brother surprises the family by visiting on Eid and the younger brother is all so upset with him. We can all so relate to the complaints the younger brother has, not liking Facebook posts (we all have issues, don’t we?) not attending calls, not being there with the family on last Eid.
The concept of 3 japhiyan is again depicted in a beautiful way and with a beautiful message. No matter how upset you are with your sibling – just hug it out, the bond you share is precious than all the complaints and most importantly a hug fixes everything.
The lyrics are paired beautifully with the concept “dil nahin bhoolta dil ka yeh rasta” and we see the mother is happy and teary eyed seeing the love and bond his boys share.  It ends with the family on table having a good time and the elder brother being the elder brother annoying the younger one (so relatable). This TVC does justice to the brands concept of adding sweetness and affection to relationships “karwahat mein mithas”
There is no happiness greater than having your loved ones with you on occasions like Eid. If your sibling lives abroad and you have similar complaints, when they visit don’t forget to give them 3 japhiyan this Eid!
The brand, the creatives have done a great job in presenting an awesome concept depicting the sibling bond. The concept is paired perfectly with beautiful lyrics and enticing production value.
If you haven’t watched this awesome TVC yet, watch it now and share with your siblings.

Bag Crossbody Bag Fab Grab Made in Pakistan Reviews

Fab Grab: Printed Crossbody Bag by Mockingjay

Newest addition to my bags collection is this beautiful printed Crossbody Bag  by  Mockingjay. The day this beauty was introduced by the designer at the recent Daachi Exhibition  in Lahore I was literally drooling over it’s gorgeousness, design print and of course the color!

The shape of the bag is crisp and clean, has got that Crossbody comfort, size is just perfect to keep you organized and carry your favorite things with you – this bag has got it all.

Lately I’ve been crushing on all things yellow, mustard, orange and anything around the same color family (if that makes sense), which pretty much tells what made me get this bag. The Tan color of the bag complements the print design beautifully which is sure to add a pop of personality to any ensemble. I’ve been carrying this bag around with my every outfit, from lawn suits to casual jeans. It definitely adds to your overall look. You can check out how I paired (styled) it with my favorite lawn suit here. Also what I love the most about all bags from Mockingjay is, the bags are uber stylish, trendy and above all Made in Pakistan (heart)
Priced at Rs. 1600 only this affordable yet really trendy Crossbody bag is a must have this season. It comes in three different colors: Tan, Pink and Green with pretty prints on the front and back. All bags have adjustable Crossbody strap, making it easier for you to carry, just the way you like it.
I have my eyes on the other two gorgeous colors and I might make a purchase again and get them both because these are too just too pretty to be missed. You can order this bag from Mockingjay Facebook page here or from their Instagram here

Gong Xi Fa Cai! Happy Chinese New Year 2017 – The year of the Rooster. The most celebrated Chinese festival is on Saturday 28th January but at Dynasty, Avari Lahore the celebrations have started already wishing everyone good fortune and prosperity for the New Year.

Dynasty Restaurant at Avari Lahore is one of the best Chinese restaurants in the city that offers authentic Szechuan dishes. On this Chinese New Year the restaurant is celebrating in true spirit with it’s Seafood Bonanza featuring a delicious selection of seafood by it’s talented Chef Erbin Yang.

The setup at the restaurant was very warm and welcoming. The display of Roosters and Chinese Lanterns symbolizing luck, longevity and good fortune were accustomed to the fiery year of the Rooster and Chinese Celebrations.

The celebrations kicked off with a grand opening and ribbon cutting ceremony by the honorable guests Mr. Atif Nadeer (COO Fauji Foods) along with Mr. Grant Raubenheimer (GM Avari), Chef Erbin Yang, Chef Zaheer, Mr. Arif Chaudhry (Director Food & Beverages Avari) and the restaurant staff.
The spectacular seafood on ice display was one of the highlights of the celebrations at the restaurant. Chinese New Year is not complete without a Fish prosperity toss, which was not only the part of display table but also had a prominent place on the special menu.

The menu by Chef Erbin Yang featured some of the most revered seafood specialties such as Whole Red Snapper in Chili Sauce, Braised Trout Fish, Lobster in Butter Cheese Sauce and Prawns with Lychee to name a few.

There was a Chef’s Special Menu for Soup and Appetizers and from the menu we ordered Seafood Hot & Sour Soup that had a lot of different flavors of diced prawns, fish, calamari, crab and vegetables and had a very appetizing spicy and sour taste. For appetizers we were served crispy, golden Jumbo Prawns which were amazingly delicious (for a prawns lover it were perfect!)
There were a lot of dishes to choose from for the main course, from specially designed Chef’s recommended menu, I had already had prawns so ordered a fish dish Fried Fish in Sweet and Sour Sauce, it was a lightly battered fish deep fried and tossed in sweet and sour sauce served with rice. It was one of the best Chinese dishes I’ve ever had!

So if you’re looking for a place to host a family dinner or a reunion lunch or simply want to treat yourself, a seafood feast awaits you with succulent seafood dishes by Chef Erbin Yang.

The Chinese New Year Seafood Bonanza is available at Dynasty, Avari Lahore from 25th to 29th January. Reserve your tables today to enjoy this lip-smacking seafood feast – because you just can’t miss it!

Review: Australian Food Festival at Avari Lahore

There’s nothing like crisp and clear November nights in Lahore. Being accustomed to the chill the season brings, it gives more reason to enjoy outdoor evening weather. To get the most out of the evenings what better than warm outdoor lighting and live Barbecue – a perfect evening! That’s what Avari Hotels Australian Food Festival has brought together – Australia’s favorite pastimes; barbecuing and Lahore’s passion and love for Food!

The Australian Food Festival at Avari Lahore was arranged at The Tollington – hotel’s very popular Pakistani BBQ area. We were welcomed with an amazing Australian set-up. Walking through the famous Sydney Opera House, the kangaroos display and the Sydney Harbour Bridge backdrop all gave that Australian feels to the entire place.

Perth based Chef Jesse Hands had flown to Lahore to serve quintessential Aussie BBQ with authentic Australian spices, beef, lamb and seafood all imported from Australia. We were able to get our hands on some of Australia’s best meaty treats offering a fresh Aussie twist to our traditional Lahori BBQ experience.
Australian’s love barbecue or barbie ( as they call it) possibly more than we do. The myriad  of mouth-watering meaty cuts and indigenous flavors highlight the influence of all the ethnicities and the centuries old aboriginals techniques, making modern Australian Food uniquely Australian. It is very different from the spicy Lahori BBQ, the taste and flavors were subtle yet very well balanced. The meat was cooked to perfection.
It was not an all-meat kind of an event it also included some authentic Aussie desserts which were delicious!
I’m a true carnivore and a foodie at heart so my plate was full of all things meat (not guilty!). For me it was an amazing experience to taste authentic Australian Barbecue – sausages, steaks, seafood, lamb and of course the sides to go with it.
If you’re a carnivore at heart too, then this Aussie BBQ and Australian Food Festival at Avari Lahore is a perfect treat for you. You get a full all-you-can-eat spread for Rs. 2499 + tax that includes live Aussie barbecue, salad bar, side dishes and desserts.
Australian Food Festival has definitely brought food lovers in Lahore a taste of the best Australian BBQ!

Fab Grab : Gorgeous Blush Pink Mug by Clayworks

I am absolutely obsessed with mugs at the moment and for an avid-chai drinker like I am, it’s pretty normal I suppose. I mean how can you not buy the most gorgeous looking Mug and not make it a part of your life? You just can’t do that! And this gorgeous Blush Pink Mug with gold accents by Clayworks is just so pretty that it is now a fancy addition to my Mugs Collection.

Chai or Coffee has become our daily staple. It’s more like a morning, afternoon or an evening ritual something we just can’t do without and as they say “Good tea needs a Good cup” (in my case mug) it’s only fair that we choose to enjoy it in a fabulous mug. And this mug rightly serves that purpose. It’s gorgeously elegant, the gold accents perfectly compliment the color and make it look all-so-fancy and super classy.
Clayworks  is the manufacturer of ceramic tableware and fun ceramic accessories. They have a huge variety of ceramic tableware and accessories that are equally unique and fabulous. The mug is priced at Rs. 1200 and the best thing it is microwave safe. You can order it through Clayworks Facebook page here or from their outlets in Lahore and Islamabad. In Karachi they stock at Ensemble and for online purchasing you can buy their products from
This mug is also available in Powder Blue and that too is really pretty. So, if you have a chai partner who is as enthusiastic about chai as you are you can order his & her mugs from clay works in blush pink and powder blue. And if you don’t like having chai in mug, they have teacup and saucer sets in blush pink and powder blue too – they’ve got everyone covered. They do customized orders as well, for details visit their Facebook Page and you can view more of their products and popular items on their Instagram page.
Everyday chai just got fancier with this oh so feminine mug. I Adore the color and that gold touch to it. As much as I like it for myself, it definitely would make a perfect gift for those chai-obsessed or mug-obsessed friends too!

Fab Grab: Mitti Pow Chai Mug

I’m an avid morning-tea drinker, mornings without chai (tea) are sad, boring and incomplete. Although I’m not a morning-breakfast person but I definitely am the morning-chai person. Which makes me a collector of fun, quirky, colorful mugs too (apparently all the ones I’m attracted to) and the moment I saw this Mitti Pow Mug it was love-at-first-sight-kind-of-attraction.

“Mitti Pow” is a desi phrase used by Punjabi people mostly, when they want to finish an argument or ask to forget something. Mitti Pow or Mitti Pao literally means Bury It.

The very moment I saw this mug, it ignited my Punjabi-ness  and I had to order it. The creative brains behind this mug is Oddpot.

Oddpot is an online shop and  maker of colorful, fun, quirky and fabulous everyday products and stationery items. They sell through their Facebook Page Here. This Mitti Pow mug is priced at Rs. 650 and they ship nationwide. To order you can simply Facebook Inbox them or email at
Every time I see this mug on my work desk, it brings an instant joy and perhaps a little motivation too, to just bury some stuff and move on to priority tasks. Today someone asked, is it your “Personal Motto?” I’ve started to feel it is! “Mitti Pow – WoW like a Ninja (HA HA)

Boneheads Lifestyle Restaurant Review Reviews

Restaurant Review: Boneheads

  • By
  • September 7, 2015

Like art and music, Food has no boundaries, it doesn’t even require visas, permits or passports and yet takes you through a culinary journey to explore new combinations, tastes and flavors.
Continuing on this culinary journey, Lahore just got the taste of Atlanta – Boneheads.

Atlanta-based fast food chain Boneheads specializes in grilled fish and chicken and offers an exclusive range of sauces made with piri piri peppers. With its first ever overseas restaurant opened in Pakistan, Lahore it aims to provide a relaxed place with serious taste to its consumers. Did it actually live up to it? Let’s find out.

One fine weekend, we (my sisters and I) had planned an evening out to spend good time together as we’re all busy all week through. So we decided to first watch a movie and then have dinner at a new place we’ve not tried before.

The movie we planned to watch was Dekh Magar Pyaar Se, while we were excited about it after viewing it’s promos, the excitement soon faded as the movie began and by interval we were like “whose idea was it to watch this movie”? As we all had mutually agreed on watching it so we managed to escape the bashing part. Having a bad movie experience we were a bit skeptical about trying a new place but we still stood by the initial commitment made.

And we ended up at Boneheads(since my sister M had read rave reviews about the place on a Food Group). It’s conveniently located just off MM Alam Road, a beach-themed fast-food restaurant all the way from Atlanta that is best known for its grilled chicken and fish dishes along with some healthy sides. This restaurant positions itself as a healthier alternative to typical fast-food restaurant.

The place is pretty decent with a nice ambience, friendly and courteous staff and live kitchen. I’d say Boneheads is a casual restaurant rather than a fast-food establishment. As we entered we were greeted by smiling staff, we saw a bright and reasonable dining area – it wasn’t something fancy but casual and appealing. The place was busy as it should be on a Saturday evening but not over crowded.  As we breezed through the place to our table, the first thing we saw was their famous “piri piri sauces” already placed on the table. Our server was a friendly fellow who handed us the menu card and helped us in deciding what to order.
We started with their Piri Piri Chicken Wings, as we skimmed through the menu. They were served really quickly, the wings were perfectly marinated in spice blends and then grilled to perfection and were tossed in Piri Piri Sauce of our choice (we chose medium to begin with). The chicken wings were absorbing the sauces which enhanced the flavor and it was such a delicious treat.
As we skimmed through the menu, we found it to be a delicious and a well-sorted menu offering not only grilled chicken and fish but also assortment of tacos, shrimps, salads, burgers and grilled vegetables. A menu that covered everything – a complete one!
After having the wings we were confident in ordering the food and our expectations were quite high. Being a fan of one of its competitors for a long time now, the food had to be really awesome to win our hearts and make us repeat-customers. We all decided to have different dishes so that we can taste them all.
We ordered their Grilled Chicken Breast that came with choice of two sides, Portuguese Grilled Chicken that was smoked and flavorful and was served with fries and boneheads special rice and third item on the order was a Burger (Build your own hand crafted burger) where you build it all yourself.
Talking about the sides, Boneheads offers a diverse selection of side items. It does include the traditional ones, like fries but there are other items such as grilled zucchini, priri piri mushrooms and broccoli. The seasoned rice were sensational and complimented the food well. The burger was as juicy as one should expect, with perfectly grilled patty. What excited me the most in their menu was the choice to build your own salad, your own burgers and the variety they were offering and of course FISH! Though I didn’t try it this time but would definitely do so on my next visit.
Altogether the food has great taste and the blend of spices is perfect on the chicken or fish and if you want to add a little zing to the food their bottles of Piri Piri sauce on the tables is all you need. It has three spice levels medium, hot and extra hot (I tried the extra hot, didn’t find it that spicy but loved it with my food) for those who don’t like food much spicy can try their Lemon and Herb sauce that contains no peppers. The staff was kind enough to offer their Hot Pepper relish to try with the burger and it was pretty awesome.
After a bad movie experience the food at Boneheads literally did set the mood. The beautiful flavors that the Piri Piri sauce bring out in the fish and chicken is the one that you must try. The food served is healthy and flavorful and makes you crave for more.
With a competitor already in the market for some time now, it may be easy to dismiss Boneheads as just another chain on the block, but DON’T! Eat there once to see what they’re offering at such reasonable price. If I were somewhere nearby It would’ve been my everyday lunch place for sure.
Boneheads is definitely a welcome addition to the restaurants arena. In the city that loves food, it’s delightful to see an affordable, healthy and flavorful option on the block.
For more information about their menu visit Boneheads on their Facebook Page here

Baby Lips Beauty Crush Beauty Reviews Electro Lip Balm Maybelline Reviews

Beauty Crush: Maybelline Baby Lips Electro Lip Balm Collection

It’s been a year since I started blogging and although I started as a food blogger, this year I thought of taking it to the next level. So in doing so I thought of adding new categories to my blog making it a blog of Food Recipes & More

The “More” aspect of the blog includes Reviews of different things I purchase or simply love, be it a Restaurant or a Beauty Product, a Kitchen find or a book. I thought of beginning these new categories with my favorite category Beauty Crush – beauty products that I love.

Ever since Maybelline introduced their Lip Balm collection, I just can’t get enough of them. It’s like I’m hooked to Maybelline Baby Lips, I love them (I’ve said it a lot of times now, I hope you got that). Its a must-have for me, they are moisturizing, smell good and come in different shades that adds a hint of color to your lips.

I’m a kind of person who uses a lip balm before applying lipstick and at times I don’t feel like applying a lipstick at all and those are the times when I thank Maybelline for introducing this collection. It gives me that hint of color, keeps my lips soft and brightens the face too. So when the new collection was out, I was convinced that I needed it. Also because this new collection Electro Lip Balm claimed to be No More Basic Lip Balm and 8hr Hydration with Neon Kick, it was a must-must-have!

I like the shades in pink so with the Electro Collection too I stayed with Pink Shock, which is a bright/ hot pink. It’s quite pigmented and you can wear it sheer or build up to get more color (I kind of keep it natural and don’t build up much). It keeps my lips moisturized not for 8HRs as claimed by Maybelline, but for a good 4HRs and keeps them soft all day long. It smells amazing too. It has other bright, neon colors too like Oh!Orange, Berry Bomb and Strike a Rose, and if you’re adventurous and can pull-off yellow and green lip shades then Fierce and Tangy and Minty Sheer are the shades for you.

As I love these, I find its packaging (pink on black) quite cute. Its a balm in a tube that makes it easy to carry (on-the-go) and with a few swipes you have bright lips and fresh face in an instant, isn’t that cool?

What is your favorite Lip Balm? Do you love Baby Lips too? Which is your favorite shade?
