1/4tspVanilla Extract
1/2cupConfectioners Sugar
3-4tbspMilk
Instructions
Make the Cinnamon-Sugar Mix
In a small bowl combine the cinnamon, brown sugar and granulated sugar
Make the Swirly Knots
Preheat oven to 400 degrees F or 190-degree C. Line a baking tray with parchment and lightly spray it with a non-stick spray. Set aside
Prepare the work top by sprinkling some flour. Unfold 1 puff pastry sheet and roll it out to a 10-inch square. Brush the pastry generously with butter
Sprinkle the cinnamon-sugar filling on top, spreading it from edge to edge
Unfold the second puff pastry sheet and roll it out to a 10-inch square as well. Now place this sheet over the sheet with filling. Lightly roll the sheets together using a rolling pin
Now cut the pastry sheet into ½-inch-wide strips. Twist each strip and roll into a "knot"
Place the knots onto the lined baking tray about an inch apart
Whisk the egg white and water in a small bowl. Brush each knot with the egg wash
ake for about 18 - 20 minutes or until the pastries are golden brown - some of the cinnamon may leak out - that's normal
Make the Cream Cheese Glaze
While the Cinnamon knots are baking, melt the cream cheese in the microwave until it's soft and creamy about 20 - 30 seconds. Whisk in the confectioners' sugar and vanilla then add milk to make a glaze.
You can make it as thick or as thin as you like. If you make it too thin just mix in a little more sugar
To Serve
Serve the Cinnamon roll knots warm or at room temperature. Drizzle the glaze over them or serve on the side for dipping
When the cinnamon knots are baked you can coat them in cinnamon-sugar mix for that added cinnamon flavour

Make Cinnamon Roll Knots in Advance - before glazing cinnamon knots can be stored in an airtight container at room temperature for up to 3 days. When ready to serve simply heat them in microwave or oven until warm and drizzle with cream cheese glaze.
Freeze Cinnamon Roll Knots - before baking freeze the prepared cinnamon roll knots in the freezer for 3 hours. Then store them in a ziplock bag for upto a month. When you want to bake, thaw at room temperature for 30 minutes then bake according to the recipe.
