Beauty Crush: Maybelline Baby Lips Electro Lip Balm Collection

It’s been a year since I started blogging and although I started as a food blogger, this year I thought of taking it to the next level. So in doing so I thought of adding new categories to my blog making it a blog of Food Recipes & More

The “More” aspect of the blog includes Reviews of different things I purchase or simply love, be it a Restaurant or a Beauty Product, a Kitchen find or a book. I thought of beginning these new categories with my favorite category Beauty Crush – beauty products that I love.

Ever since Maybelline introduced their Lip Balm collection, I just can’t get enough of them. It’s like I’m hooked to Maybelline Baby Lips, I love them (I’ve said it a lot of times now, I hope you got that). Its a must-have for me, they are moisturizing, smell good and come in different shades that adds a hint of color to your lips.

I’m a kind of person who uses a lip balm before applying lipstick and at times I don’t feel like applying a lipstick at all and those are the times when I thank Maybelline for introducing this collection. It gives me that hint of color, keeps my lips soft and brightens the face too. So when the new collection was out, I was convinced that I needed it. Also because this new collection Electro Lip Balm claimed to be No More Basic Lip Balm and 8hr Hydration with Neon Kick, it was a must-must-have!

I like the shades in pink so with the Electro Collection too I stayed with Pink Shock, which is a bright/ hot pink. It’s quite pigmented and you can wear it sheer or build up to get more color (I kind of keep it natural and don’t build up much). It keeps my lips moisturized not for 8HRs as claimed by Maybelline, but for a good 4HRs and keeps them soft all day long. It smells amazing too. It has other bright, neon colors too like Oh!Orange, Berry Bomb and Strike a Rose, and if you’re adventurous and can pull-off yellow and green lip shades then Fierce and Tangy and Minty Sheer are the shades for you.

As I love these, I find its packaging (pink on black) quite cute. Its a balm in a tube that makes it easy to carry (on-the-go) and with a few swipes you have bright lips and fresh face in an instant, isn’t that cool?

What is your favorite Lip Balm? Do you love Baby Lips too? Which is your favorite shade?

Sweet, warm, chocolatey and amazingly delicious french toasts stuffed with Nutella! A Super quick and super delicious breakfast prepared in a microwave.

Prep time: Cook time: Total time: Yield: serves 1

  • 2 Slices White Sandwich Bread
  • 2 Tbsp Nutella
  • 1 Egg
  • 1/4 Cup Milk
  • 2 Tbsp Sugar
  • 1/4 tsp Cinnamon Powder
  • A few drops Vanilla Extract
  • 2 Tbsp Butter or Margarine

  1. Generously spread Nutella on one side of each slice.
  2. Butter the other side of both the slices and keep aside.
  3. In a separate bowl whisk together egg, milk, sugar, cinnamon and vanilla extract
  4. Put the bread slices in an microwave safe plate and pour the egg mixture over it. Let the bread soak completely. Turn the slices over after a few seconds so that both sides are well soaked in the mixture
  5. Microwave it for 2-3 minutes on high and turn the slices and microwave for 2-3 minutes. (Increase the time by 10 secs, depending on how you like your toasts and varying microwave temperature settings)

  1. For French Toast in a mug, simply cut the bread slices into cubes, lightly grease the inside of microwave safe mug with butter. Put half the bread cubes in the mug and pour egg mixture over it. Add a second layer of bread cubes and pour remaining egg mixture. Microwave it for 1-2 minutes or until the mixture is set. Serve warm with Nutella, powdered sugar or maple syrup

New Electrifying Sting TVC 2015

The series of STING TVCs are just perfect at conveying what Sting Energy Drink can do – Energize You! And this time around Sting is back with yet another Interesting Concept “Open Waters”, a Brand New Commercial with a very Electrifying Tag Line “Energy ka Jhatzzka”

The new Sting TVC takes you on a fun Water boat ride, but wait a minute …. What?? The motor died – The Problem. The cute looking guy on the boat has Sting – Gulp it and then the amazing dance moves (I bet you want to learn those) got all energized and swings the motor back in action – Problem Solved! (oh yeah!)

Sting commercials never fail to amuse you and have a unique way of conveying to consumers that they can actually do things which they thought they cant do. From running escalators to running Ferris wheel and now a boat there is nothing that you can’t do. All you need is an #EnergyKaJhatzzka by Sting and consider your problem solved.

The New Sting TVC appeared online and seems like Sting digital has re-started with this new commercial.  With its digital presence lets wait and see what more Sting Digital has to offer.

If you haven’t seen the commercial yet, don’t feel left out I’ve got it here for you:

Sting – #EnergyKaJhatzzzka

And for those who would suggest Sting is a dangerous product imploring young people to risk their lives in pursuit of thrills I say more power to them. In my opinion, Sting’s message is a far sight more aspirational than most drinks advertising.
